None of that matters

If his performance doesn't land him in the top 5.  The other alternative is that he's a spot starter.  And that's ok too.  


The other alternative, and I don't know that LA wants to do this, is to trade him to a team where he's be a 35 start guy.  He earns all his money, and LA probably gets something for him because he has about 4 years left on a really team friendly deal.


Personally I would consider that because thre reason he has such a team friendly deal is that the doctors say his arm is a disaster waiting to happen.  Dodgers have gotten what, 3-4 years out of him?  I think they are living on borrowed time.  Trade him and get value.  Maybe two top level AAA arms.
