This day in baseball, 1962

I attended my first no-hitter, which was also the first no-hitter thrown in Dodger Stadium.

The night I was there, though, the radio announcers welcomed their listeners to Chavez Ravine Stadium because, well, they were the Angels announcers and that's what the Angels called the place when they were tenants.  My family and I sat in the fourth deck, as we always did.  It was a Saturday, so it was Ladies' Night.  $1.50 for my dad, 75 cents for me, and 50 cents for my mom and my sister.  And a buck to park right outside the entrance to the top deck.

And the pitcher?  Bo Belinsky.  In my house, it's not Cinco de Mayo, it's Bo Belinsky Day.  But I believe I'll have another, por favor.
