One question that emerged from Mick Cronin's introduction Tuesday at UCLA's new men's basketball head coach: Which of his assistants will head to Westwood with him?

UCLA assistant coach Tyus Edney talks with UCLA guard Jaylen Hands during the game between the USC Trojans and the UCLA Bruins on February 28, 2019, at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, CA.

Cronin started to answer that question when he announced Wednesday via Twitter that he'll retain Tyus Edney as part of his new coaching staff at UCLA. And the picture became slightly clearer when Cronin told reporters that his associate head coach at UC, Darren Savino, will join him on the Bruins' staff if he doesn't fill the head coaching vacancy with the Bearcats.

Happy to announce I will be retaining @TyusEdneyUCLA on my staff at UCLA. Let's #GoBruins#UCLA#8Clap

Edney joined the Bruins as director of men's basketball operations in August of 2010 under then-head coach Ben Howland. In April of 2017, UCLA announced that Edney had been promoted to a full assistant on then-head coach Steve Alford's staff.

Edney also played point guard for UCLA from 1991 to 1995, helping the Bruins to the 1995 NCAA National Championship.
