...my mistake then.... 

I'm reading a very long Biography about Abraham Lincoln right now.  He is a man of high character and great honesty....with very few flaws.  One of the great human beings of all time. One flaw he did have was the amount of trust and loyalty have gave to his friends, appointees, generals, belief in traditional constitutional ideals, etc.  He was slow to let go of them, and it cost him dearly...until he did.

Not that Clay is in Abe's class, but he tends to have the same problem with his assistant coaches. 

Whether you need to win a Civil War or a national championship, you need to make hard decisions in order to do so.
