All rookie contracts are slotted now.

By "slotted" I mean they are dictated by the NFL's Collective Bargaining Agreement with the NFLPA.

Lee was a 2nd round pick (No. 39 overall) in 2014 and according to Wiki, Lee's rookies contract was 4 years for $5.14 million, with $3.18 million guranteed and $2.08 million signing bonus.

So Lee averaged about $1.3 million per year under his rookie contract and under his 2nd contract he will average $9.5 million over 4 years.  Of course, there is a good chance he never sees the last year or 2 of the new contract which is why the guranteed money is so important.
