Del Rio, even though the hire would look like a typical USC lazy hire, would instill accountability, toughness and discipline in a team that has none. Players would earn starting jobs based on ability not because they would have their feelings hurt if they didn't or because they have been in the program longer and deserve to start. I also don't doubt that he would hire top people to help him.
