"Steilacoom (Wash.) receiver Emeka Egbuka fully expected things to be busy this spring, with baseball, 7v7 and unofficials on the docket.

But once Egbuka ran a 4.42 at the All-American Combine in San Antonio earlier this month, everything ramped up.

Offers flew in shortly after the combine- from LSU, Tennessee, Ohio State all offered that night.

Since then, more offers have come in- offers from Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan and Oklahoma are the most recent to roll in.

Washington was by the school on Monday, with new receivers coach Junior Adams and head coach Chris Petersen swinging through.

While Egbuka was offered by Petersen and recruited by Jimmy Lake and former receivers coach Matt Lubick, he had heard good things about Adams.

"My receivers coach at my high school, Greg Herd, Coach Adams was his position coach at Eastern Washington and he said he was his favorite coach and the best coach he's ever had, so he spoke really highly of him," said Egbuka. "That will definitely boost him but I'd also have to get to know him for myself."

More schools could be getting involved with Egbuka too- Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Texas are schools of interest to him, and he's working on a busy spring of unofficial visits.

He checked out Oregon earlier this month for an unofficial and February will take him down to Southern California and then March will see him hit the Midwest.

"I'll be going down to Los Angeles to see UCLA and USC the second weekend in February," said Egbuka. "USC has already offered me. Coach Keary Colbert is who I've been talking to there. And UCLA has come by but they haven't offered me yet. I've been talking to Coach (Jimmie) Dougherty some but the main coach recruiting me there is Ethan Young.

After Los Angeles, Egbuka will return to Mesquite, Nevada for the Pylon Elite National 7on7 Tournament with his 7v7 team HEIR Football, the place where a year ago, he had his national coming out party, earning All-Pylon Super Team honors, the lone 2021 player selected.

Then March will be a Midwest swing.

"I'll be going out to Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State in March to check out those three schools," said Egbuka.

All three schools have already swung by Steilacoom this month.

"Michigan was there, Coach (Sherrone) Moore, Notre Dame was there, Coach (Todd) Lyght and Coach (Delvaughn) Alexander and Ohio State was there, Coach (Brian) Hartline and Coach (Ryan) Day came by," said Egbuka.

Oklahoma also stopped by Steilacoom this week, their second time through this month and Nebraska was by last week.

"Coach Dennis Simmons was who offered me from Oklahoma and he's come by a couple times," said Egbuka. "Coach (Steve) Cooper came by at the end of last week. There is like a new school every day."

Stanford is also expected to come by this week, with Tavita Pritchard, who's from the Tacoma area, expected to come through.

In the meantime, Egbuka is balancing football, baseball and school (he's a 4.0 student) but enjoying the process.

"It has been pretty busy since the combine, but it's a good problem to have so I'm not too worried about it," said Egbuka.

A four-star already on 247Sports, Egbuka ranks as the No. 2 athlete nationally in the 2021 class and the No. 38 player overall. "
