One of my fraternity brothers did this

I think. I ran into him at a tailgater a few years ago. And he explained that his son had a really rough semester or two in high school but got into USC. I scratch my head and asked how that could be done. He said we found an admissions counselor who helped him apply as a preferred walk on for football. And so he got admitted to the university. I said that’s great. I did not know he played football. And the guy said well he did but he played at a small Palos Verdes high school and didn’t play much. So it was obvious to me that USC was not exactly recruiting him. I asked whether or not the son would be trying out At a particular position. And my fraternity brother told me know he won’t actually be playing football. He is just using the preferred walk on slot as an avenue to get admission to the university. I was personally a bit frustrated because I have a couple of athletes sons who are not division one. But certainly I thought good enough to be considered as a potential walk on’s. But in my pursuit of those doors were always close to at a particular position. And my fraternity brother told me know he won’t actually be playing football. The guy was a member of the USC scholarship club which is a mucky muck organization that donates a fair amount of money. Has very good tickets to USC games and whether or not he went through this particular guy. It does appear that he went through someone doing something very similar. I am going to guess that this is much larger than just simply the singer guy. And a lot of people are dodging bullets who have done the same thing
