Suzanne Nora Johnson

 

Suzanne Nora Johnson is retired vice chairman of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. and chairman of the Global Markets Institute at Goldman Sachs. While at the firm, she was a member of its Management Committee, responsible for the Global Investment Research Division. Previously, she was an attorney with Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett and worked as a law clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals.

Nora Johnson currently serves on the corporate boards of American International Group, Inc., Intuit, Inc., Pfizer, Inc., and Visa, Inc. In addition, she serves on the nonprofit boards of the Broad Foundation, the Markle Foundation, and TechnoServe. She serves as co-chair of the Carnegie Institution of Washington and vice chair of the Brookings Institution. She is also a member of the World Economic Forum – Global Agenda Council for the Future of Financial and Monetary Systems. Nora Johnson received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. from USC. She has served on the USC Board of Trustees since 1998.
