Condemn? The argument has never been

a moral one but rather a legal one. You want to make the war into a moral war. I don't pass judgement on about morals..I leave that to God. I do pass judgement on the violation of the Constitution and agreement held about the soveriegn states and their right to leave the Union. Historical facts not revisionist history. The topic was always succession and the right to secede. not slavery...you keep pushing the morality of slavery while I'm discussing the violation of the agreement the states had in joining the Union...there is no morality involved...only the fact. Just as the North won the war..fact historical fact...not a judgement on morality...only the fact that the war was fought over succession that was a waste of american lives and that the succession was totally legal...fact. Historical fact....Robert E Lee was correct when he told Lincoln he was the first President that went to war with his own country...

Why is this relevant...because we are getting very close to the same situation. Only this time, the Federal government holds the upper hand historically because after the Civil War the Congress wrote into law tha inability of any state to secede without certain conditions being met. That may all go out the window if things continue in the pattern that is developing...
