Question on giving results before polls close..

By: ColTrojan

I believe there is a law, or something, that prevents election commissions from disclosing this, but what about disclosing "ballot" information.  In otherwords, here in Colorado, they just mentioned on channel 2 news, that so far 154,000 ballots have been received from Democrats, 57,000 from Republicans, and 110,000 from unaffiliated voters.  Isn't this disclosing 'results"?  True, you don't know who they voted for, both disclosing this can influence whether or not a person will want to vote.  Seems fishy.
