12/07 Jobs continue to hum, unemployment down

Stock market continue hot streak, except the stocks I own. WTF , bad week for me. Green, green, green, I get to my stocks, red, red, red, .... surprising jobs report should break the mortgage rate win streak. Rates have been dropping for a month bringing back buyers.

Economics are all local. Hard to extrapolate or project national movements or trends from ones small sliver of the country mentor experience therein

That too. Besides a regional component, In fact I might push it further to say economics are all individual focused. If you were in the food/bar industries during Covid you were in the eye of a hurricane. If you were in real estate or anything interest rate sensitive you were in a historic boom making money hand over fist.

It feels like this is some kind of psyop. The economy is not good. We all feel it. Maybe Wall Street, and global investors, still feel like the U.S. is the safest haven in a global recession. Not complaining but waiting for another shoe to drop.

what i found interesting in this jobs report is that the biggest job growth sector is government hirings. Thats fishy. Thats not healthy job growth.

I don't get the sense the economy is bad right now. People are buying because they have confidence in their jobs. I watch for distress in credit and I dont see it right now. And it is something im eagerly awaiting and hoping for. But it just isnt there.
