12/15/23A lot of cash returning to the stock market

No, you know a lot more than I do. Like I said, I'm a small time investor. Without the knowledge, I will just jump in on the bargain. I'm Even going to hire a guy to manage my portfolio, a trusted individual whom I've known for over 20 years. He knows my plan, probably doesn't agree with it all, but he's not offended by it either 😆.

I don't know the SM like I do the sports book. Been doing it for close to 30 years. I make jokes over on the fb board because it's amusing to read about guys who think they have a clue. Don't recommend betting sports unless you're prepared and spend a significant amount of time for "research." It's also fun for me, but im not doing it to lose either. Trust me, you guys are playing the better game. Like I said, I just don't have the knowledge and experience as some of you. I had/have a 401k I never really looked at. Talk about the basics. I'm trying to learn now that I have the time while I'm basically sitting on my ass all day.

Thanks for all that info. Timing was never my thing unfortunately. I really do feel if I go in now, I buying overpriced stocks. Thought the same last year and missed out. Still over 5.5%,,, very little, but better than nothing.

Well, then, like you said, unless it was balls that said it buy something that fits. By Verizon since it's paying 7% dividend. I don't know whether the stock itself is overpriced or underpriced but it's hard to argue with 7%.

Psec is above 6 which is a barrier. But for a long time it was priced well at 5% and paying an incredible 11%. The problem is that their dividends are ordinary dividends, which means they are ordinary income. Not taxed at the lower capital gains rates.
