I Don’t Make Predictions Often

But when I do, it’s not about some booshet. It’s about making money. I woke up to some great news today. I predicted $500p/s by August 2025, so I’m not quite there yet, but we blew past the split price of $300. Up

Supposedly according to Wall Street this rise is due to excitement over robo taxi’s but I don’t think that’s it. 😉

Well crap. I just flipped my December $320 calls to march for $350. Ill be patient and flip them then to $400. Problem is that if the stock outruns me too far then I’m afraid people will execute early on me and waiting till the last week ends up screwing me

When I fist got into this being upside down like this made me panic and take losses. Now I realize if I can get out. Write it again in the future. Most often either I’ll make a little on the premium price. Or I’ll throw it to the future at the same premium but a better price for me.

So I have 3200 shares of Tesla. And originally I sold a call at $250. By playing this game um at $350. $100 salvaging here. And still own it. So that’s $320,000 that I’ve locked in by doing this. Making something better out of a bad thing

If I can wait till March and get it to $400 without much change in exit and re-entry costs I can salvage another $160,000 and slowly realize the gains that you did simply bu holding.

I don’t mind being forced out with a gain from $230 to $400. I do for taxes but still. The problem for me is the extra calls I sold on stock I don’t own. Meaning I’ve essentially shorted it. And every time I do that the stock takes off and makes me poor

Did I tell you a couple years ago when this happened n I was so upside down that Schwab called me on the phone and told me I needed to start liquidating shares I owned to get proper coverage back?

It was literally like playing monopoly as a kid and when you start losing handing all your properties back

That was when I swore I would never do this again. Probably for the 4th time

He who panics loses. Life lesson. Its impossible to think clearly when panic, fear or anxiety sets in.

Scared money don't make money, play it safe and you might reach some sense of financial security but you won't see significant financial growth. Be aggressive but be smart. I like the way you play it.

My office mate got a call from Schwab once too on a similar situation. I might have to see a cardiologist if I get a call like that. My bowels get real jittery when I get a call like that. 😂

I tried to talk sense to him. Saying just give it a day or two and everything would be fine. Alas he was the banker and we kept turning over properties until he was happy. Was not a happy day.
