Inflation rates around the world.

Mostly our fault, as the massive monetary easing policies in the US and constant money printing give aways of the last 12 years exported inflation ( US currency is used as reserve currency around the world) We need a real Republican administration, with real Republican monetary and fiscal policy. Not more trillion dollar stimmies by Democrats and fake Republicans to appease the woke crowd that is always looking for free shet. Will we see CD rates @ 10% like in the 80’s. . US inflation is at 8.3%

Wow I think you’re right about CD’s. Remember back in 80 at one point the Fed Funds rate hit 20% and I think the 30 year treasury bond paid over 15%. What Volker did worked to curb inflation but that will be painful to go through again.

Yes, it was very painful indeed. even now at the beginning of this down cycle, the 10 year TBill rate is at 4.60 %. Who can blame the big money being parked there instead of risky investments. I suspect it’s going to climb even higher thereby pushing mortgage rates to 10% and home prices will begin to crumble.
