Tesla aftermath

Basically spent all year taking my dividends and any gains and buying out all those shares I shorted. Got my rear handed to me. So glad in December I finally go out from under that. I swear. Every time I do something stupid like that I swear I am never going to play that game again. Then I am like "wow, look at that. Apple puts for $3 at $130. Hmmmm"

My latest is upside down on Robinhood and farfetch. Guess it makes up for the easy money on AMC. What do you all think of Coinbase? I don't believe in crypto but I do believe in taking advantage of the movement and all those who do. lol

And just like that we are in a correction. Yeah my butt still hurts from Tesla and right after I buy myself out of the shorts? Stick goes down and i could have saved $100k.

@BigBallss So far my experience with long playing stocks has been flat flat flat, lose a bit, lose , moderately, HOME RUN. flat flat, HOME RUN. etc. So when i hit Lam Research or Apple, yay for me. Overall I win. Especially because even when my investments end up sideways, both time and dividends save me.

With Puts? Little bit calls. Mostly puts, it's been win, win win win, win, win with little risk, win a little bit. LOSE, quick recover and stake out a new position to recover from that lose LOSE EVEN MORE. OMG, double down, triple down. KEEP LOSING. Geez.

The result is I rarely lose in the option game but when I do its a death spiral I spend all year getting out of and it puts almost everything at risk. And it messes with my mind and ego because I TRULY WIN like 80% of the time. If I was right this often with my stock picks, I'd be Zuckerberg wealthy. I am going to have to really sit down and look at 2021 and see how much I gained and lost from this option game to se if it was worth it What i KNOW I hate is to be sitting there ready to pounce. Feeling like it's a good time to jump in and commit 6 or even 7 figures. Knowing others are panicking and this is my time to be bold. And because I sold all those puts? I am sitting there realizing that for spending money I locked up all my cash and I can't do jack. I have to wait right now till March 18 to make sure I am not totally screwed I will be tuck with STAG at $40 and I don't mind that. It is a great stock I was forced to sell out of on a call about a year ago. Love it. But there's lots I would like to buy and for the sake of a few thousand here and there I am trapped now just waiting for the calendar to turn. And the problem is the money is addictive. Like wow really? $5,000 ? And I buy if Google falls another $100? Gee, that sounds like a good deal. Until Google falls $300 and suddenly I am upside down $50,000 in this game.
