I’ve lost about a million and a half. And if it weren’t for all the options that will expire and $ I keep it would be closer to $2 million.

I’ll make it another post but timing the market is hard. We all knew it was overheated for awhile. And thus I was selling tons of calls above where it was. And in some cases I actually had to resell more because it kept going.

Now I’m looking at selling puts. Which imo is a far more dangerous game. It’s really not but for me mentally it is. Not sure why Maybe because the market rises slowly and gives you time to adjust. But falls rapidly far and with little warning

In 2008 I sat with my wife at the kitchen table and told her how I screwed up our family savings. She asked how much we lost and when I told her she shrugged her shoulders and said, “ So what? What about all those years you made all that money? You will do it again”.

This time around, I’m down big right now, but since 2019 I have made millions. Many millions. Right now I’m down a fraction of that. I know you made millions too. You have two prime properties and a solid business. It’s all part of the show.

We do need to have a sharp pencil right now and be smart.
