RIP Thurman Munson
A 7 time all-star, Munson had a career batting average of .292 with 113 homers and 701 RBIs. Known for his outstanding fielding, he won 3 consecutive Gold Gloves. Munson was the 4th pick in the ‘68 mlb draft. After hitting .302 in ‘70 he as named ROY. In 1976 he was named captain of the NYY, the first since Lou Gehrig. That same year he was named the AL MVP.
