I thought they were going to use Busch in a trade for another starter. But instead they replenish the farm system by trading older prospects for younger ones. Hm
So this makes sense. Almonte was great two years ago and dropped off in 23. He still has value but he's aging and the dodgers have better options
Busch has been sitting there as this top prospect waiting to break through for what. 2 years? He needs a shot. What surprises me is these are the types of guys who used to be prized and would be included in big star deals.
Maybe they have expiring shelf life. Either way la needed to give them a shot to play and this is it. My hope is they can spin them into younger prospects who will help as some of their stars age or contract out
Yeah, 26 is expiring shelf life for a prospect without a clear path. And obviously LA is too star studded ATM for there to be a clear path for him. Miggy Ramos appears to still be int he plans. Outman, Lux. Can only have so many youngsters at a time. Pitching it's a little easier. Not so much the opening 8
