FYI: Diego Cartaya was passed over by the ‘24 Dodger minor league POY Dalton Rushing. The left hand hitting Rushing has surpassed DC offensively. The LAD moved DR and started playing him in LF in order to get his bat into the lineup.
He and Bobby Miller were the toast of our deep prospect well just two years ago. Just think what we could've gotten if we sold them in 2021 or 2022. You can't give up on excelling prospects(at the time) when they're 19-21 though.
They had another a couple year ago and traded him tooooo the nationals I think.
They have had several. So fine. Being up rushing. I don’t care. They’re young. They’re cheap. Smith is going to start aging badly soon. If he hasn’t already. Need someone to transition
So I think it also means they feel between Kike, Rojas, Edman and either Outman or Pages they have CF and SS covered. If Pages, that's 3 RHH.
I mean I get it in that Kike and Edman can move around. But I really feel Edman has earned a starting nod somewhere.
it also means that between all the guys I mentioned they are paying about $18 million combined for all those players above and covering the SS, CF and utility positions. So if you're worried about budget, that certainly is a solution
FYI: Austin Barnes had his option picked up too.
Mistake They clearly didnt get my memo from earlier today. What he does has been usurped
