I would have Kershaw, Gonsolin, Glasnow and Ohtani throw during Yankee BP or workouts. Just to give them something to thing about. And more. I want Aaron Boone to know I have those arms available and am not afraid to use them.
Gonsolin IMO is a no. Same with Kersh. Not an elite enough arm at this stage. Ohtani probably could handle an inning. I hear he's beyond 90MPH in the pen.
Glasnow is actually ready. And I think we may see him. Time flies. Playoffs go 5 weeks. Been about 4 so far. You can grow a new limb in that span. Glasnow has been out since mid August. Shut down 9/14. 2.5 months is a long time to heal an elbow strain. Also, when it happened he stomped out and cleared out his locker. Yet he's been in the playoff dugout and in the celebrations along the way. I think they are looking at getting 3-4 innings out of him in Game 3-4 or so.
If I am LA, I do NOT include Rojas and Taylor. Pages and Hernandez yes. And if you need an extra body, Kierkermayer or whoever that empty bat is. Great glove and arm. Better than Taylor at this stage. And anyone is better than Taylors bat. So including him is a mistake. Rojas is hurt and at this point his presence messes up the team's roll. Leave him off. He needs surgery.
Arms-I see that Graterol and Vesia are back, which means they dropped Henriquez and someone else.
I keep Henriquez and Glasnow ready. And not sure who else they have. But once you use a starter for the last time. Like Flaherty in Game 5. Maybe even Buhler in Game 4. Drop them from the roster and add in those other guys. As a series gets longer you need more fresh arms. Dodgers would have the ability to add 2-3 fresh guys to a team that desperately needs to win with the depth of it's staff because they don't have top end guys.
