And that's notable for two reasons.
1 injuries limited him to 110 games. So that's some good production from a 274 hitter.
2 makes the dodgers either the first team ever with 4 100 rbi guys in the same year. Or first dodger team. Not sure which. Either way it's unusual.
Rbi are not the stat they once were but it was an interesting achievement for a team that has not been its usual dominant self.
The others with 100 are max Muncy. Notable for anyone batting about 200 to have 100. Freddie freeman. Of course. And Mookie Betts who becomes I think only the 3rs man in history to get 100 rbi from the leadoff spot.
It reminds me of the dodger lineup when I was a kid where they had 4 (or 5) guys wack 30 HRs. Think it would be Cey, Garvey, Dusty (?) and Reggie Smith??
Four 100 RBIs is something else....Angels had it going on a few years like this with Chili Davis, Salmon Anderson Erstad and Edmonds (for a few seasons)...but even they didnt all hit the century mark.
Just no pitching.
