This is what happens at the end of your career. Just fishing for contracts. He probably figures at 39 selling insurance or calling radio games doesn't pay $6 million a year so get it while you can.

After leaving the Dodgers following the 2022 season and finally helping get that ring he and LA so wanted, he has played for the Red Sox, then the Blue Jays, then the Mariners That's a lot for just 2 seasons. Now he's off to the Cubs on a 1 year deal, signed after ST began. Yeah, he may be at his last top now that he's touching 40

Batted 259 last year. Not bad, not great. 11 HR so power is gone. I think he's relegated to being a 1b or DH at this point. And at those positions you need way better production than that. Even at 3B. OBA of .354 was still really solid so that is likely why he still has a job. a 1B DH with little power ok average and a solid eye. And a good guy.

Shoot, if he keeps this up, maybe he will have another year to come, but I wouldn't count on it. he and kershaw may exit about the same time. Muncy soon to follow. Too bad Taylor outlasted all of them face palm.

He signed with the Cubs, the team the Dodgers are playing in Japan. Maybe he tries to negotiate a post-playing career with the Dodgers while overseas(??)

You brought up Manny and Trea. Young (enough) and Uber talented Dudes that were gonna get a long term deal. That wasn’t JTs situation or brand. He wanted 3 years. He had a great 1 year in Boston and elected to play for a better team in Toronto and did ok. Here we are. Now Year 3. Think it’s ok to show a little loyalty. Sometimes.

I am. I’m saying I like him. I hope he has a nice life. He’s not playing with the dodgers. I couldn’t tell you a think Bellinger Jansen Seager have done since leaving. Just like I obviously care very little about what happens to USC players when they leave the football program.

Following night at the museum brown on the lions or adoree what’s his name on whatever loser team he’s sitting the bench for just aren’t on the time menu

Seager won another WS MVP(2023). He's still a great player -- big caveat -- when healthy. He has missed a lot of time. He might have been regular season MVP in 2023 if he'd played more games. Overcoming Ohtani would not have been easy. He still finished 2nd in the vote.
