Funny how different baseball fans are from coast to coast. I have family in NY/NJ. Some are Yankee fans, some Mets. Mets fans would never root for the Yankees, and vice versa. Every Mets fan I know will be rooting hard for the dodgers. I once started a fight at a family get together stirring up trouble between both sides. Never do that again. I don’t even talk about the other team when both sides are present.
NY is a baseball town. Sure, they love their Jets, Giants, Knicks, Islanders and Rangers, but baseball is KING in NY. Zero doubt about it. Back when people read newspapers, Yanks/Mets made front page of the sports section the majority of the time in the offseason. I think Dodger fans match up very well against the NY fans, just saying I’m always blown away with how in love NY is with baseball.
Both venues will be electric. I’m thinking left/right field reserve seats (“blue section”) are going to start at 1,000 dollars. Thinking you might get a ticket for 800-900 of you’re willing to sit very high at the foul poles.
Growing up in so cal it was easy to be a fan of both angels and doyers. Angel games were on chanel 5 and doyers were on chanel 11. They never played each other. sc
I must have missed that one. Is he a Mets fan? Billy Crystal too right? I’m sure there are plenty of celebrity Met fans. Dodgers have plenty of hollyweird hangers on
