Multiple travel ball teams are willing to attend “showcase” tournaments out of state where hundreds of scouts from across the country show up to recruit. There are a handful of travel ball teams with complete corporate sponsors that cover the cost of training facilities, equipment, travel, meals, etc. When I was in HS (MANY years ago) travel ball didn’t exist. The best HS players tried to play American Legion baseball. Now, many places offer private lessons given to kids every week by knowledgeable coaches…sometimes even twice a week.

Some savage teams on that list. More accurate than maxpreps but the top ten is consistent.
My sons team is headed to North Carolina to face a good chunk of those teams in April.
