I said earlier anyone 6’7 280 shouldn’t be playing cf. and the double from Teoacae didn’t even get to the wall. It bounced on the front of the warning track. With two out and a power hitter up jusge ahiuld have been deep. So for him not to catch that was another miscue

Cody Bellinger or other fine cf catch that. The annoying guy from the padres does too

100% agree. He looked awful out there. And the ball did look catchable.

But I say that knowing I’m no expert

There were a couple shots to centerfield in the series that always seemed to drop near Judge and I was always happy to see that.

Of course Soto is that much worse!

Back to the Dodgers. They value Defense and it paid off.

This is what happens when you sign three designated hitters and ask two of them to play right and centerfield. Just imagine how bad Stanton must be to actually be the DH while those two play the field.

He played tentatively there. I think he didn't want another ball going off his glove. Catchable for most CF's.

Maybe but he previously went into the fence. Usually when a guy backs off a ball like that. Like I do or would? It’s because they’ve hit a brick wall at full speed. In my case I’ve been ripped open from under my armpit across my chest. No warning track on our field. But judge has a track and a padded wall. So yeah. I think his head was totally fried at that point having seen what he caused. By the time that ball sailed over his head, he had dropped the easy catch. Easiest flyball he’s gotten since he was 10 years old. The shortstop play over the third had happened. The Mookie Betts, Billy Buckner Anthony Rizzo play at first had happened. Freddy had singled to centerfield bringing in 2. Maybe Freddy‘s single sort of crept judge up a little bit that happens even though it’s a new batter just mentally you’re frustrated because the guy hit it in front of you so the next guy comes up and you creep in a little bit. And then Hernandez hit a big fly straight over. that’s happened to me before
