RIP HOF Brooks Robinson

Reported to be a great teammate and friend to many in the Orioles organization and members of many AL AS teammates with his southern drawl and friendly demeanor. He was CLUTCH in AS games for the AL and WS games for the Orioles. A glove so good his nickname was “the human vacuum cleaner.” I remember a friend of mine telling me at school “well, the Yankees are screwed!” when he talked about his beloved team after he found out the Orioles somehow acquired Frank Robinson in a trade. “With their pitching and Brooks Robinson they’ll own the AL.” He was right. He and Yastrzemski hold the AL record of playing with the same team for 23 years.
