Coaching his kids LL team. Man that one hurts. I’ll write more later but Sean and his dad for better or worse January way youth baseball is played today. And the LLWS forever.
And appears from reading the comments that he'd had some issues with substance abuse, so perhaps that was it. Too bad considering he had a LL son. Rough thing to do to leave a little kid
Any Washington team even getting to Williamsport is amazing. They have huge dis advantages there. Winning is unthinkable. But Burroughs and his team did it as 11 year olds and got through a Brutal ca bracket. And managed to do it again. And win it all twice. That’s like winning the lottery two years in a row
The first LB win was a loss on the field to the international team as I recall. It was overturned by having over-age players right? That might've been the last time we saw the Philippine team in the tourney, but not sure. Then they came back and won it legitimately following year.

No real news here, just pics of the guy
Little League World Series star, MLB player Sean Burroughs: In memoriam, 1980-2024 (msn.com)
Sad reminder.
Arguably the greatest LLer in US History?!
