I don’t believe so. I’ll say it again, I don’t believe Ohtani bet on baseball. As far as committing a crime by wiring money knowing it was to pay off an illegal gambling debt…. Did he actually do it because, as I stated several times, it doesn’t make sense to me why he’s having law enforcement investigate it as a crime. But if he did and admits he did, that’s federal and I’m not sure the recent history on those types of sentences. I will say the amount of money being 4.5 mil probably does make the matter more serious than the average case where the amount of money that is sent via wire for these types of things. So knowledge of a crime is irrelevant, but IF IF IF it comes down to him coming clean on the matter, then I don’t see him doing any jail time. Heavy fine,,,, meaning, heavy for guys like you and me.
