“LOL-the seats directly behind the ones we sat in for game 1 (LF pavilion; lower section; $308 EACH) of the NLCS now list for $2154 EACH on Stubhub right now!”
A good friend of our younger son is a hard core Yankee fan who lives in Connecticut. He’s going to the game Wednesday at Yankee Stadium. He paid $660 for “Standing Room Only” ticket.
High in reserve for 1K? Yeah, I’ve sat in those seats before, many years ago when I was broke. Too high and far away from field. So decent seats for you and the wife is about the price of a 5 day full package to Hawaii,,, that’s including everything like parking. Btw, what does it cost to park there now? Bet it’s 100 bucks for WS.
I couldn't justify that kind of spending, so there's no way in hell I would go. But even if I were rich, I really wouldn't want to pay those types of prices for a baseball game. All it does is just drive the price of tickets up for the next rich swinging dick who is willing to pay. It's absurd.
Most people with money have it because they don't go to things like this at horribly inflated prices. If they go, it is a perk, they are not buying the tickets themselves. The ones that do are just there to be seen, and will go into years of debt for the instagram post.
I know, huh? Funny how that works. Rich people often don't pay for anything. Esp. the really rich, and definitely celebrities. It's like, "Hey, you're famous, how about some free shit? Here you go!"
I will never understand the fighting at an event you paid money to go to. OK, back in the day, when you could get seats for 15 bucks or less in the outfield, maybe. But these thugs drop a paycheck or two and slam 20 modelos and it's fight club. I hate going to games with my wife, I always tell her, hey, I'm never going to start any problems, and will always try to walk away, not worth it. BUT, if I am in a situation where I am going to be hit, I will have to defend myself. Please don't get in the way or scream like a banshee. You will either get hit, or get me tangled up and I am screwed. We have that understanding, hopefully I never have to find out if she will keep her end of the deal. The last thing I want to do after having a handful of brews and a Helmet Nacho with extra Jalapenos is to have to fight, it is hard enough just to get out of the seat and shimmy past people to take a leak, let alone take on Rancho Cucamonga's finest.
Should have gone when I have the chance. I was looking online and I saw a decent tix in loge and field level from 300 to 500. I’m not sure why I didn’t go to the Sunday game. I had intended to check out ticket prices and go there on the way from the lake down to the beach and for some reason, I forgot about that. Ran my errands. Got to the beach on the game and went. Oh yeah I should’ve gone to this. For $1000 to sit in nosebleed I’m thinking TV is a better option

I expected $100 per car and $150 for oversized.

That's not that bad, really. Unless they lose.
FYI-Our NLCS game one tickets cost $308 each.
