From this article:
"To assure the Dodgers honor his gesture of unselfishness, Ohtani asked for language in his contract that assures the club will make good on its promise to use the savings he created to build a competitive team around him, according to one source familiar with those negotiations.”
Nice,,, he's a solid citizen. still gonna cost us a fortune to attend dodger games. Dodgers will raise prices on everything, make a little yield on the profits and pay off the Ohtani contract with the interest. Slimey bastards.
I remember I used to get off work, take out the wife for a quick dinner in Chinatown then attend a week night game, all for about 100 dollars (if not a sellout or close to one). Lol, one of the "scalpers" remembered my face and wouldn't deal with me 😊. I always knew exactly what tickets were worth along with the demand, then chop that amount down depending on a whole other set of factors like how close we were to opening pitch. Scored field seats the vast majority of time, sometimes loge.
Anyway, those days of wheelin' and dealin' are over now. I'll leave it to y'all rich folk.
