Just realized the dodgers are in the Soto sweepstakes to drive the price up. Making sure the Mets or Yankees sink their whole salary cap into him. Hes way too selfish to take a deal like Showtime. He wants NOW money.
Trading block. These are a list of spree parts who based on who la is pursuing don’t seem to fit. Some have great value. Others do not. Curious what la can get for them.
Chris Taylor. Aged. No contact. Can’t even bunt a strike. Just a mess at the plate and has been for years. Now injury prone and defense slipping. $14 million a year. Only thing I can think of is another mess. I’m thinking a reliever who might make 4-8 mil a year with a live arm whose results have been awful. Yeah sounds a lot like Kimbrel or synegard. Hey. Take a flier and cut the guy But Taylor is a waste and is blocking the path to the majors for future talent
Austin Barnes. See above but can still catch. They just resigned him so I assume they’ll keep him. Don’t get this at all.
Dustin may. Dude has unreal upside. Like too 3 stuff on the mlb wide level. But you know the story. Two major arm injuries and esophagus surgery? Are you kidding me? What can you get for him? As little as he’s played I think thisnisnuienlast year under team control. So you won’t get much.
Tony Gonsolin. Legit all star starting pitcher. Coming off rehab. Ready to go. Ready to start 30 times for your team this year and throw 150 innings. I think a legit starter of some sort if a minor league star is compensation here
James outman. For 30 games was a ROY candidate. The natural. Then he became Cody Bellinger at his worst. Lefty and a great defensive cf. with power. There has to be some value in that. Yeah?
Andy pages. If he or outman are going to be given the cr job now is the time. If now. Same story. Streaky. Few walks. Decent of defensive play. Power. Big swinger and lot of Ks.
Bobby miller. Young live arm. Needs to pitch enough to grow at the mlb level. This guy will give your rotation a live young cheap arm. 30 starts. First half of year 4.5 era. 2nd half 4.0. Going forward you’re looking at a guy who can go 3.0-3.5 era. That’s a 2 or a 1 on some teams boys. I think there’s some real value here. Dodgers can’t develop him at the mlb level with the arms they have and are bringing in at the big league level.
Is there enough among outman pages Taylor may miller and Gonsolin to swing for a superstar? How about some valuable bullpen arms? A cf? How about restocking their talent at aaa or aa?
Find one team and Gonsolin miller and may. All nearly free. Could instantly remake and give you almost an entire starting rotation. Surely there’s value there people
You missed the most likely player to get traded, Gavin Lux. He just lost his position to Betts. There's a chance they could try him at SS again if they don't sign Adames. I'd rather have Rojas or Edman there than Lux.
Miller, May and Gonsolin have great stuff, esp May. With May you could swing a pretty decent MLB asset. I think they should consider him an 8th/9th inn pitcher. Keep the arm fresh.
Austin Barnes is not on the trading block, little value to anyone except to the Dodgers.
Pages has some value, he hits lefties well. Outman is just a great AAA player, peter principle with him. Right now, we need outfielders though. Betts moved to 2nd, Edman might not be an everyday CF in the Dodgers eyes. Pages has a strong arm, and is more suited to RF. That could save him a spot on the team.
