sc just swept udub this weekend
actually sc has a good team this year, they just got off to a horrible start. playing 3 games in arlington, tx vs tcu and a&m is not easy.
oh yeah, and they are renovating dedeaux, so every game this yr is essentially on the road.
Just reading up on ucla stuff…
injuries are crushing UCLA again this year. 4 experienced bullpen pitchers are out on extended absences (1 done for year, 2 TBD, and one going on week 4 of missing time but expected back soon) Schrier is tbd with possible broken finger from a bunt attempt, even though he’s been bad all year he’s a leader they need around.
How many schoollies are avail to an entire roster? Like 13 or so? Standard excuse but it doesn’t fly. Duke is USC expensive but they are a top team so somehow the Blue Devils make it work. Can’t be nil money in Durham either.
No excuses for USC. Vandy is private and balls out. Miami is more expensive and is better.
UCLA needs to invest in a better coach. Way too much talent to stink. Easier to enroll kids ($).
The top UCLA pitchers left for LSU. One was paid over $100k to start and the other got paid but I don’t know the amount. A key pitching recruit turned down UCLA for the SEC and big $. Lousy pitching and crappy defense are a BAD combination.
