I believe they first made history, by being the first team, seated two to lose to a 15 when they managed to bow down to the Richmond spiders, who would bear down

fast forward to 2023. Arizona breaks new ground. Becoming the first team again in uncharted two vs 15 failure territory.

Arizona, indeed, as Tom avocado would tell you is in a class by themselves. They should be the arizona trailblazers.

Like I said, the last 20-25 years have really skewed UCLA football in terms of perception and overall accomplishment. I wouldn't be surprised if half of those teams had losing seasons.

But the strange thing is, if you look at AP top 25 rankings in football, UCLA still comes in at about number 20 all-time. It's difficult to compare football and basketball at the top level in college, because football only has about 130 teams at that level, and a lot fewer than that decades ago. College hoops has over 300 Division 1 teams. But I doubt if you find USC basketball ranked in the top 25 as often as UCLA football has been. Like I said, that's probably not all that fair of a comparison.
