You lost 4-5 games To end regular season. all of which were must win games. had a 1st Round Pac 12 Tourney loss. 3 OT games in NCAA Tourney. Including the play in. Could have been one and done. Easily. Great bracket. #2 or #3 seed Texas was upset in 1st round.
Team shot INCREDIBLY well in this tourney.
Bama shot 10-23 at charity stripe in sweet 16 game. Bamas best player was taken out of game by refs On two bad calls in first 40 seconds. Game went in OT. Two game changing calls to end regulation Went Bruins way. Bama had no starters over 6’5” or 6’6”. Michigan was missing their best player and team leader. Utla won 51-49.
Bruins won 5 games almost 6?
They almost lost 3 of them + losing last night. They didnt. I get that. But be careful on over valuing Cronin stock here. Juzang was 11/19 against Michigan. F Wagner was 1-10 for Michigan. That was difference.
No Duke. No Kentucky. No NC. Weird year. Was Pac really that good?? Or was the rest of Country down?? idk. With one and done. Transfer portal. No home crowds. No traveling in tourney. Weird freaking season.
USC made elite 8 with Rice/woford/Santa Clara/Utah State (?) transfers and two 4/ 5star brothers. Weird season.
Being contrarian here. I get that. But note, every thing I said is true.
If he is so good why does he miss so many free throws? It cost them the game last night. Except without his "3" he would not have been in position to shank his free throws and lose.
Mick has never not led UCLA to the Final 4 since he's been here and he did it after losing his top 3 players on the team... He took that Kentucky Reject, and in two years has him being considered a 1st rounder..
SO WHAT! UCLA's 2020-21 team will always be remembred as a gutsy great group of players.
