Good news bruins fans

The strength of a program can, and should, be measured by more than the total number of national championships. If NCs are all that matters, then UCLA is the greatest college basketball program of all time. Trouble is, they're not. They've had too many long stretches of mediocrity since the Wooden days.

But they've also still stuck around long enough to re-invent themselves. They lost their way in the 1980s but came back strong in the Harrick days and won a title in '95. The Lavin years were a disaster, but the Howland years were certainly successful, adding three consecutive Final Fours. The Alford years sucked, but the Cronin years could be very fruitful. One regional title and 2 sweet sixteens in his first three post-seasons isn't bad. Time will tell if he can sustain and improve upon that and get back to the Final Four. TP and NIL will make it tough, but he might be able to pull it off.

The bottom line is that UCLA basketball is back in the national conversation again, and quite often. Teams rarely come out of nowhere to win national titles, so you have to start that rebuilding process and sustain it.

That punch in the gut really does linger. Gonzaga in '21 and '23 will always be remembered by UCLA fans as a painful moment, just like Vince Young is for SUC football fans.

They do. Those are the bluebloods. UCLA has beaten all of those teams, some of them very recently, but it's true that UCLA needs to get over the hump and win another title this decade.

What I find so curious is why you so often post about this. It's almost as though you enjoy UCLA losing far more than any of your other favorite teams winning. Or, maybe you don't even have another favorite team; maybe you're like that dipshit squat, who only exists because of UCLA. You seem satisfied with USC beating UCLA on a semi-regular basis, but you never really comment on what that program needs in order to make some legitimate noise in college basketball.

Strip them of the Title it’s flat out cheating and that Missouri should have been put on probation allowing that little bullet to run through everybody.

Don't even bother. According to these yabos, UCLA has never won a legitimate national title in anything, whereas SUC has never lost anything in which the other program wasn't cheating their asses off.
