Isiah collier sucks

There. I said it.

Hes 7-19. Not from the field. From the freaking free throw line. The last two games. That's laughably horrible.

He misses layups.

He turns the ball over way way way too much.

Went 5-15 from the field today o clueing am impressive 0-5 from 3 point land.

The guy had this kind of awful game and guess what? Launched a 25 point 3 pointer at the end of regulation to try to win it. Naturally he clanked

As said. He's awful and u fortunately usc is treating him like he's so special. He's not.

It's been disappointing so far. Collier can get from point A to point B faster than anyone, but what happens when he gets there has been a mixed bag. A lof turnovers, a lot of costly missed FT's(two losses worth).

I was gonna tell one of my stories but opted out. But now that you mention it.

In the 6th grade I was what. 11? After school they had some ft shooting contest. Blacktopplayground. Chain nets. Same courts as recess.

I signed up. Was free and soccer practice wasn't for another half hour. I shot either 20 or 25. Probably was more like 15-20. Hahaha. Anyway. I think I got 16 in. Got on a roll at one point. A rhythm. Hit about 8-9 straight. People started cheering. In the end I think I got 16 out of 20. Maybe 25. I won the contest. Got a certificate. Probably still have it in a box somewhere. Actually it's hanging in my office with lights all around it. Hahahahaha. lol. Anyway. I shot what. Either 80% or 65% when I was 11. Somewhere in there. Isaiah collier is supposed to be the best hipster in the country and he missed 4 in a row. As he did in the Gonzaga game. And fornrhebrestbofnrhe game he made one. Missed one. All game. 7-19 over two games. That's like 35-40%. Horrific.

Oh the follow up. I advance to the regionals at what eventually would become my high school. Hardwood gym floors. Real cotton nets. Glass backboards. A lit up scoreboard. Baskets that lowered from the ceiling using hydraulics. Massive parking lot. Huge pool you walked past. Real live hs with people who had cars. I walk into the gym and it's the biggest thing ever. I go to take my shots and the backboard and rim didn't clang. Didn't have that sound. And the wall behind the basket was 30 feet back and the backboard was see through. Totally screwed me up. I about pissed my pants. I might as well have been shooting at the basket at the other end. I think my dad. Who was at work the first time. Was like "uh this is what I came for? Some champion here". I sucked. Missed like 8-10 in a row. Wanted to die. Became very self conscious. Like everyone was looking. I eventually got on a roll as you do and hit maybe 6 in a row. In the end I want to say I hit 7-8 of them. Probably finished dead last at the regionals. They shook my hand and gave the real players a medal or trophy I'm sure. I slunk home knowing I had only hit 7-8 out of 20.

45 year later or whatever it is. I now have satisfaction in knowing that as bad as I was. As horrible as that performance was. The worst free-throw shooting of all time? I was still better than the number one college basketball recruit in the country for 2023.

although that big iwuchuku guy at usc who was supposed to be the next Evan Mobley? Top recruit in the country? He sure ain't all that. That boy better study and get his degree. So far he's been really good at being 7 feet tall and making baskets from 3 feet in. Not a lot of that in the nba these days
