Shows he is still one of the greatest with a 36 pt 15 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the Wizards over New Orleans. Just missed a triple double but not too bad for someone his age.
westbrook best athlete in NBA history is all I"m saying... fawking dude is amazing... triple double king, actually Quadruple double king if you consider TO's...
UCLA has won Titles or played in the Title game in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and I"m not sure about the 2000s, but now the 2010s right? I forget. I get bored watching them in the Final 4 to be honest... always there.. crazy.
Yeah, 1 title in 46 years isn't much to write home about. But the sport has been dominated by the same several teams for a long time. It breaks down like this:
Since UCLA completed the Wooden Era, here are the multiple winners of NCAA Titles and the teams that have made the Final Four multiple times:
Multiple NCAA Titles since 1975:
North Carolina: 5
Duke: 5
Kentucky: 4
UConn: 4
Indiana: 3
Louisville: 3
Villanova: 3
Kansas: 2
Michigan State: 2
Florida: 2
(Only seven other teams have won a single title since then, including UCLA with one.)
Multiple Final Four appearances since 1975:
North Carolina: 13
Duke: 12
Kentucky: 10
Kansas: 8
Michigan State: 8
Louisville: 7
Michigan: 6
UCLA: 6
UConn: 5
Indiana: 5
Syracuse: 5
Villanova: 4
Georgetown: 4
Houston: 4
Florida: 4
Virginia: 3
LSU: 3
UNLV: 3
Arkansas: 3
Oklahoma: 3
Ohio State: 3
Oklahoma State: 2
Georgia Tech: 2
Illinois: 2
Arizona: 2
Marquette: 2
Butler: 2
Wisconsin: 2
Gonzaga: 2
(There are 32 other teams with one appearance.)
Bottom line? NCAA basketball has been dominated by North Carolina, Duke, and Kentucky for going on 50 years.
Indiana, Kansas, Michigan State, Louisville, and UConn have certainly made their presence known, as has Villanova and a few others. UCLA certainly hasn't been forgotten, but they haven't been keeping pace with the aforementioned. Maybe that'll change. They're still easily a top 20 program historically, but they're going to have to up their game significantly in the next decade to be considered a perennial all-timer.
Could make the case....also shows that the game is truly a game of height. Only so much a 6’4” guard can do to dominate the game. Kobe & MJ would prob disagree. :)Also shows that skills are just as important as raw athleticism. Russ is a TO machine and a low efficiency shooter. Comparison Would be a highlight reel QB who turns ball over a lot. Mistakes will kill you.
Russel is best athlete the NBA has ever witnessed.... I am so glad Ben Howland made him play a slow-halfcourt offense for 3-4 years.... Fawking POS Howland, hope that dude dies for the talent he had and made them walk up the court and play in the 50s.
Westbrook and Harden prove stats are for losers

Empty Calories Russ. The model of INEFFICIENCY. There’s high usage players and then theres Harden and Westbrook. Stat stuffing losers.
If this cat ever learned to shoot a 3 man he would’ve been an all timer. Oh well.
