agree that she should not have come back into a game with a 40 pt lead, but her ankle had nothing to do with her ACL. Again, if I were a female bballer, I would be wearing a sleeve brace on both knees. To the "your gender is your choice" crowd, no it's not and women ACLs are a good example. Their knees are not designed for basketball wear and tear.
If the sore ankle and torn ACL are on the same leg, that could be related. Overcompensating for a sore ankle (by having it heavily wrapped) puts undo stress on the knee.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said he never wore high tops when he played for the Lakers because he said if your ankle gives, yeah, that's bad. But if your ankle doesn't give, the next stress point to give will be the knee, and that's worse.
Maybe, maybe not. But it's not out of left field.
Unless the injuries are on different legs, of course.
Be better.
Go cheer on Lurch.
She got injured in the 1Q
wtf?
That’s stupid. She got hurt in the first 5 min of a competitive game.
Not like playing a little bit in the 3rd or 4th q two nights earlier crushed her acl
Just click bait
No USC fan is furious at a coach who has put them in the top 5 every year and had talent after talent coming in
