KVA 4 Star LBer commits to Notre Dame...this one hurts....gotta wonder if Grinch's D just didn't work for this kid....also it looks like another 4 Star stud California OLman may decide to ship out to Oklahoma...not sure USC had any interest but more California kids leaving state is not a good sign..

All high school kids are projects compared to proven portal transfers.
I think this class already is too high school heavy. Those that don't stick should be portal kids. Just my humble opinion.
But I thought the oline would suck last year . Sure Caleb made them look good , but running the ball was surprisingly impressive.
Hope I am just as wrong about Grinch.
If the D is just decent SC will have their choice of top kids next year. sc
Yeah but he went like 8-8 in June. So these things happen USC went from unranked to Top 4 in recruiting. Then will slip back and whatever they need they can buy in the transfer NIL Wal Mart portal.
I'm surprised they went after HS kids as hard as they did after the first two years but good for them.
Edit: response to Pasadena
Wyatt Davis,,,,, they had a few others who played very well in college, just don't recall these players at this time. Oh yeah, and "every team will regret not picking my Schnoze"
Remember how it went for Pete Carroll before his first year....he band-aided a team together.....and (I think) lost the Las Vegas Bowl to K-State? All he had was Carson Palmer and little else.
In year #2 he landed Shaun Cody and a few others....Mike Patterson, a "tweener" DL that ended up being huge for USC. Went to the Orange Bowl and beat Iowa in a thriller. Mark Sanchez this year or next.....
It was year #3 that Pete began to take off recruiting....and then he began to "reload like Saban" after that.
Pete didn't have the Transfer Portal back then......CLR has dominated the Transfer Portal....he landed a Heisman winner and a #1 NFL draft player.....along with mutliple 5-star transfers at positions of need.
Can someone name any SJB greats who excelled in college?
