CW didn't go into the game hobbled. Were any adjustments made at all?

Yes.....the adjustments USC made included:

1) Eliminate the QB running option entirely.

2) Have our best OL (Vorhees) not suit up to play.

3) Reshuffle our OL to accomodated Vorhees not playing.

4) Have starting center, Nealon, go down for the season.

5) Re-shuffle the OLine yet again....on the fly.

6) Have our QB get a major cut on his throwing hand requiring bandaging and compromising his ability to throw accurately or deep....or both.

None! GW also seemed GASSED after that 57 yard run. He was never the same. Does 162 make him do conditioning? You know he doesn't. Hurt, gassed and no coaching and no backup OL, is tough to overcome.

All Riley did was make adjustments for injuries (on offense). D missed 2-3 easy pics, and got desperate at the end trying to take the ball away and missed tackles.

Yes reverses & misdirection. You gotta slow down those guys teeing off on the QB unmolested. 56yrds on 27 carries! Jones barely 2 ypc! One really effective play is where the guy who would normally block the rusher lets him go and then catches the ball behind him in space. Receivers never got separation a lot of the time. There was that beautiful deep throw with a scrambling (healthy) CW, but their D seemed to know what we were doing.

Gee, I thought there was half time and timeouts. Their D seemed to know what we were doing and receivers had trouble getting separation. Who knew, 1/12 conversions represents a well called offense!

1/12? Didn’t realize it was that bad. A few plays last night that could have turned the momentum around. A couple of dropped picks etc.

way more Utah fans than I expected. They cheered loud but were pretty civil. Great dinner after the game at Casa D Amore on Tropicana. A number of Trojan fans there. Strong Recommend .
