SC had 10 missed tackles through the first 2 games to start the season.
After that , same pattern as last season. USC actually missed 24 tackles in one game against Utah last season. I think most of those was against their tight end.
SC tackles pillows in practice. Does anyone know if other teams do this? Maybe they all do. Is it this? Is it that the kids aren't thinking about tackling but making sure they are in the right spot? Maybe players don't seem to rotate? I honestly don't know.
No wonder Bryson Shaw defended the Grinch to the media with all the tackles he missed.
no other top 25 team in the country misses as many tackles as SC.
I do remember reading that ND was upset because they were averaging almost 10 missed tackles per game after their first few games.
The game reminded everyone of the Tulane game with missed tackles on a national stage.
So any ideas why? sc

I bet urban Meyer does. He likes grinch. Hired him. I'm sure you know more than urban
2nd half fatigue caused by being on the field for too many plays at high altitude and some of the blame falls on LR for not running the ball more to gain his defense some rest. But what do I know.
Yet CLR acted like he was surprised.
Just imagine if they counted not being even close to a position to even try to make a tackle...bet that number puts the missed number to shame...
wait til they play someone good.
lmao at riley. this is allon him now.
if you are LBs who don't know how to fill a gap and make a tackle, like both cobb and curtis, you are getting ZERO coaching and zero tackling in practice. This is on the coaches.
Because....this is how CLR wants to practice. The kids like it.
Caleb's play. Just look at his terrible numbers. AND HE THREW AN INTERCEPTION
