2024 College Football Season.
8-31-24 games.
Impressive teams. Teams that had A+ OL & DL, A+ QB play, A+ Run game and D’s that shut down the run game and DB’s that shut down the passing game. These teams below had all of these components yesterday.
#1. Bama (W) vs W.Kentucky, 63-0. QB. Milroe played exceptionally well. He did not make any mistakes, ended up with a QB rating of 374 unreal. He passed for 7/9, 200 yds, 3 TD’s, ran = 10, 79 yds, 2 TD’s. Milroe ran C.Deboer's O to a T, kept Bama’s O rolling all day. W.Kentucky could not stop him. Having a top dual threat QB under C.Deboer O is going to make DC’s job a living hell. Bama’s run game A+ = 353 yds. The O produced a total of 621 yds and C.Deboer starting in the early 3rd Qt put in the reserves or Bama scores 70+. He let up on the gas pedal. Nice guy did not want to embarrass WK HC and team much more.
This Bama team under C.Deboer O is totally different vs his Air Raid O in the past Now, he has a killer dual threat QB and top RB’s. He does not need his Air Raid O and will run a more lethal Balance O.
I think Julian Saying, 5* QB transferring out from Bama to Ohio St was a colossal mistake. He would have been coached by one of the best QB coaches & HC in C.Deboer. He is wasting his talent at Ohio St, sitting on the bench. QB’s J.Saying and D.Brown should enter the TP ASAP before it’s too late.
Plus, Bama’s D was awesome holding WK O to a total of 148 yds (103 pass + 45 yds rush). This Bama FB team is going to give havoc for every team on their schedule. Bama = nightmare.
#2. Ole Miss (W) vs Furman, 76-0. Wow, C.Kiffen and his O put up gaudy numbers. Total = 772 yds, 527 pass + 243 rush. QB J.Dart passed 22-27 81%, 418 yds, 5 TD’s, 273 QB ratings, ran 6 = 27 yds. Ole Miss D held Furman to 146 passing + 26 rushing = 172 T/yds. Looks like Ole Miss has a complete team. I think C.Kiffen will allow QB Dart produce crazy stats for the Heisman race, he is off to a great start. Ole Miss must continue to win though.
#3. Tennessee (W) vs Chattanoga., 69-3 Tennessee O = 414 yds pass + 304 rush = 718 total yds, crazy. QB N.Iamalaeva pass 22/28 79%, 314 yds, 3 TD, 208 QB ratings. RB Dylan Sampson rush 12, 124 yds. Tenn D held Chatt O to 227 to yds, 153 pass & 74 rush. Tennessee is going to be a force in the SEC, along with UGA, Bama, Ole Miss, Texas, OU.
#4. Miami (W) vs Florida, 41-17. QB Cam Ward pass 26/35 74%, 3 TD’s 189 QB ratings. Florida’s QB Graham Mertz (TP Wisconsin) 11/20 55%, 91 yds, 83 QB ratings, very bad game.
#5. Ohio St (W) vs Akron, 52-6. QB Howard 17/28 61%, 228 yds, 3 TD, 164 QB ratings, Ohio St O = 234 pass + 172 rush = 406 T yds. Pretty good day.
#6.. Texas (W) vs Colorado ST, 52-0. Texas O = 355 pass + 192 rush = 547 T yds. Texas held C.St O = 192 T yds. Texas has a complete team.
#7. Georgia (W) vs Clemson, 34-3. Best match up yesterday, 2 FB powers. UGA O started out slow & sloppy (1st half) = 6 pts, but made good adjustments 2nd half = 28 pts. QB C.Beck pass 23/33 70%, 278 yds, 2 TD, 161 QB ratings. Can’t blame Beck, his Wr ran lazy routes, he could not find open Wr’s.
S.Calif and former Mater Dei, freshman RB, Nate Frazier had a vey good game, rushing for 11, 83 yds, 1 TD. Nate runs a legit 10.5 100 m. USC should have gone hard for Frazier, local boy. UGA O = 278 pass + 169 rush = 447 T yds. Not bad day for the O. UGA D held Clemson O 142 pass + 47 rush = 189 T yds. UGA, Bama & Michigan have the best D in the country.
Teams that won, barely but has problems.
#8. Defending champs, Michigan (W) vs Fresno St, 30-10. Fresno St gave Michigan a hard time. Michigan problems lies in the O, only 272 T yds, 121 pass & 151 rush. The D is very good, holding F.St to only 244 T yds, 235 pass & 9 yds rush. Michigan’s D front 7 is top 3 in country.
#9. Oregon (W) vs Idaho, 24-14. Man, what a low down for the Ducks. QB D.Gabriel had a very good game, 41-49, 84%, 3870 yds, 2 TD, 162 QB ratings, problem only rushed for 110 yds. Looks like Ducks highly ranked OL had a bad game. That falls on the OL coach. Ducks D did its job holding Idaho to 208 T yds. Oregon got into the red zone a few times but could not score.
#10. UCLA (W) vs Hawaii, 16-13. Bruins had to pull out the win in last minutes. The O did OK, 272 pass + 71 yds rush = 343 T yds. Bruin's D allowed Hawaii O = 278 T yds on offense (not bad). The O needs to score pts.
2024 All Americans. California Players
T-Mac, Tetairoa McMillian 5* Wr, Zona, originally from Hawaii, family moved to S. Calif in 8th grade, played at Servite HS. Looks like they moved back to Hawaii? USC and all the big schools went all in for him, but he followed his best friend, QB Fafita to Zona. Incredible hands, body control, leaping ability, but only average speed (est 11.5 100m). Played volleyball and some basketball, very athletic Bruddah. Top 10 CIF Wr's ever.
Carson Schwesinger, 3* LB, UCLA, Oaks Christian HS, from Moorpark, Ca. 3* rated, All Marmonte League, but hardly recruited, walked on UCLA. No question deserves AA. Amazing & impressive story.
Nick Nash, 3* Wr, San Jose St, from Irvine and Woodbridge HS, made All League as QB. Little offers. At SJ St makes the transition to Wr and becomes AA, amazing. Very talented & athletic dude. 2023, played well vs USC, 6 rec, 90 yds, 3 TD.
Cam Skattebo, 3 RB, ASU, from Rio Linda, Sacramento, Jr season ran = 3,550 yds, 45 TD's, crazy stats. Got hurt in Sr season, so his Sr stats were average. 3, League's Player of the Year, with little offers, played for Sacramento St, went into the TP and ASU was smart to picked him. Classic under the radar player. Dumb college coaches for not seeing his talents as HS RB. Great success story.
What more can we say about DL Mason Graham, All State CIF from Servite HS, but shun USC and UCLA. Dam it. One of the all time best DL in CIF history.
See below, 3 AA list.

QB, Mark Gronowski, South Dakota St. Back to drawing board for C. LR. Gronowski just committed to Iowa. Dam, he would have been a great fit at USC. Looks like when QB1 Maiava did not enter the TP killed a move to USC. Iowa got a top QB.
1-02-25
QB, Mark Gronowski, South Dakota St.
Saw some recent news for USC and the TP. A top target for USC is DT QB Mark Gronowski, 6-3, 200 lbs, South Dakota St. MG had a prolific career at SD St. A 4 yr starter = 55 games, Pass = 10,330 yds, 93 TD, Rush = 1,767 yds, 37 TD, FCS AA. NFL scouts are high on him. Hope C. LR lands him.
South Dakota St = D-1 FCS-Football Championship Subdivision) or D-1 AA division. SD ST = 2023 Champs, 2024 2nd place. Many NFL players have played in FCS FB programs; players that went under the radar in HS and were not recruited by the Big Schools. MG was an unranked HS QB at his HS in Illinois, but killed it at SD St. HC Jimmy Rogers just took the Washington St job.
Gronowski looks good in his HL video. He would be a very good fit at USC, maybe win QB1 for 2025.

11-09-24 FB Games.
Saw every big game, flipping channels. These teams were very impressive yesterday, not by scores and pt margins, but how physical and excecution of their O & D. These teams played A+ FB.
Ole Miss (W) vs UGA, 28-10. Upset. Ole Miss outplayed, out hit UGA. Jackson Dart played a couragous game. Got hurt, sucked it up, came back to help Ole Miss win the game. J. Dart is one tuff QB, passing 13/22, 199 yd, 1 TD, rushing 8 times, 50 yds. I'm a big Jackson Dart fan, consider him top 3 QB's in naiton.
Bama (W) vs LSU, 42-13. Most complete game for Bama this year, even better than the UGA game. Good thing C. Deboer unleashed QB Milroe run game. QB Milroe, passing = 12/18, 109 yd, rushing = 12 times, 185 yds, 4 TD's, one went for 72 yds. That's his strength, wow he ran wild. If Milroe continues to run like that, Bama is going to be hard to beat.
Texas (W) vs Florida, 49-17. QB Ewers had a great game, passing 19/27, 333 yds, 5 TD's. He was in a zone yesterday. He looked very good, but let's see if can play like that the rest of season? Seen games when he looked bad, very inconsistent QB.
Ohio St (W) vs Purdue, 45-0. Dominated Purdue in all facets of the game. In the Big 10 title game and anticipated rematch with Oregon, I think they pull out the win.
Notre Dame (W) vs FSU, 52-3. Yeah, I know it was against FSU, but ND looked good. They are a very physical team. ND will be a dangerous team in the CFP tournament.
Indiana looked good. Oregon, Boise St and BYU keeps winning.

Had nothing better to do today. Topic: QB’s late 50’s to 60’s that could play today and do well. Seen these QB’s play many times. I picked this time period and these QB's because I’ve had good debates with friends and former co-workers. They were so impressive and so dam good. Some of the best pocket and dual threat QB’s of their time. These players are etched in my mind, I get a big smile whenever I think of them.
Here’s the list no particular order or rank. DT= dual threat. Pro = pocket
Fran Tarkenton, UGA, DT What an amazing athlete who could run and pass. He drove D nuts. Smart too. Very instinctive, had eyes in the back of his head, could avoid closing in rushing DL or LB like no other. His amazing scrambling drove opposing D nuts. Tark had a very good arm and could sling it with the best of them. He would kill it in today’s RPO. One of my most favorite QB’s ever.
Johnny Unitas, Louisville, Pro. Unitas had a Golden Arm, had every throw in the book. But set him apart was his smarts, he called his own plays. Tough son of gun too. I saw him get clock on the blind side many times, he would get up and gave the D guy a big smile. He was a coach playing the game. He was so competitive and willed his team in many victories. He held the title, GOAT for a long time until Joe Montana took the title.
Joe Namath, Alabama, Pro. What a cocky and great QB. Namath had probably the strongest arm of his peers. He threw 50 yd bullets and 70 yd bombs in tight spirals. Not many know this, but his favorite sport in HS was basketball, Namath averaged 20+ pts and told C.Bear Bryant he would go to Bama only if he could play basketball as well. Namath epitomized the QB position; one of the best field generals to take the FB field., Many time he would make bold perditions for victory and won the game by his gun slinger attitude. He would kill it today.
Roger Staubach, Navy, DT. Man this guy had a gun for an arm and could extend plays with his leg. When I mentioned his name many of my friends laughed at me. R.Staubach could play today and would shine in the RPO.. Dang, RS was a great QB.
Archie Manning, Ole Miss, DT.. Most people know only his 2 All Pro QB sons, Peyton and Eli. The kids had a better arm, but could not come near their Dad in athleticism. When I saw Archie play, I said he was the 2nd coming of Fran Tarkenton. Shoot Archie had all the throws. What a superb athlete and QB. He would kill it in today’s RPO.
Terry Baker, Oregon St, DT. Not many FB fans are familiar with this outstanding QB. But, this guy was the best QB back then and he could play in today’s game. He was a great athlete. In HS, he was All State (Oregon) in FB, BB and Baseball. At Oregon St won the Heisman and led his team to the Final 4 in basketball. Shoot, Terry ran like a RB and one tough son of gun. He would be great in the RPO and would have mucho rushing yds & TD’s. I have so many fond memories of this amazing QB.
Len Dawson, Purdue, Pro. Len had a great arm and fired 70 yd bombs with no problem and dam accurate. He had a Golden Arm and had all the throws in the book.
Daryle Lamonica, Notre Dame, Pro. Daryle like Dawson had a great arm and could sling 70 yd bombs with ease with good accuracy.
9-21-24
One game I will watch for sure, #6 Teneessee vs #15 Oklahoma-OU. This game showcase 2 top QB's that were ranked #2 and #3 in nation back in 2022. Tenn, Nico I (Calf) was the #3 QB and OU J.Arnold (Tx) #2. #1 was Malachi Nelson, Los Al (Calif) USC. Back then I felt Arnold was #1 and Nico I was #2 and the best QB in Calif, way better than Nelson. I felt Malachi was overrated and not a 5* Qb. Look at Nelson career now, Boise St, reserve QB (Dam).
Nico so far is killing it at Tenn. Arnold has been above average but Nico has played better + stats. These 2 would have killed at USC under C.LR. I predict a high scoring game, with Teneessee winning, 45-41.
I love it when 2 QB's go at it. They will want to prove to the nation who's the better QB (ego comes into play).
Ward is the front runner for the ht at this point.
As EL T likes to say, Good Post Amigo, Keep ‘em coming!
Big game for Moss and the Trojans this weekend. Let’s go!
I really like Ward. Him and Riley? Sheesh . Fireworks.
My Top Teams, after 3 weeks in this order. 9-14-24
Ohio St. Chip Kelly has the O rolling. D = A+
Texas. No weakness. But, Sark is playing 2 QB’s, it’s working out for now. Normally, this system does not work.
Ole Miss. C.Kiffin has something special. O & D = A+. Top 3 OL unit. I’m very impressed with this team.
Bama. C.Deboer has done a fantastic job. Bama is playing at a high level. QB Milroe has really improved and a top 5 QB in nation. You can tell the players love playing for C.Deboer.
Miami. QB Cam Ward has given Miami a big spark this year with his A+ play.
Tennessee. A+ O and their D is B+
UGA. Issues on O. D is still very good.
USC. Finally, this team is playing complete FB. O, D, Special Teams are playing well. DC. DA Lynn has done a masterful job. I think they make the 12 team CFP.
Oregon. Game 1 & 2, they struggled. 3rd game, the O & D played very good vs Oregon St. No excuses, Ducks are loaded with top talent and should dominate teams.
Utah. So solid and we should not be surprised. Utah is a well coached team. Utah's roster = average 3* players, but they play like 4+* players.
Heisman hopefuls, my top 5 players in this order
QB Jackson Dart, Ole Miss. Barring injury, I think he wins the Heisman.
QB J. Milroe, Bama
QB Cam Ward, Miami
