why not eliminate the extraneous commercials
starting with the one right after the kickoff which comes immediately after the commercial that comes after the extra point?
If people want shorter games, go watch soccer.
These rules nazis are on the cusp of ruining baseball. The :08 sec rule is insane.
The only one of those with any real significance is the one about not stopping the clock after a first down. I think I’m in favor. I think there are too many games decided on last-minute field goals, and stopping the clock is a big part of that. So if you force the team scrambling to tie or win at the end to spike the ball after a first down and lose a down and a few second, that’s a positive.
It will shorten games, which is good, but will also depress offensive stats because there will be fewer plays.
