Warren has developed into a pretty tough program. They haven't won any CIF titles recently, like their archrival Downey has, but they've beaten Downey quite a few times in recent years. And Downey has put a lot of good athletes into FBS programs recently, including QB Chiles who transferred from Oregon State to Michigan State.
Overall Analysis: "We really like the pickup of Iamaleava for UCLA for a lot of reasons. For starters and most important, he's a very talented player and will arguably be the best NFL prospect at the position the second he arrives at UCLA. Ideally, you would love to redshirt him, let him learn and then he's a potential three and out type of talent. He's a popular kid and plays on one of the areas's top 7v7 teams, Team Toa, which is run by his father Nic. Having that kind of connection definitely won't hurt when it comes to both local and Polynesian recruiting. As mentioned, we love the fire and toughness he brings to the field, he's someone others will rally around and is a great building block for the new UCLA staff moving forward. "
Agree with everything you said but UCLA was his favorite school growing up and he's formed close relationships with CDF and EB. Also, OR came in with a late offer and undoubtedly offered him a nice NIL package and he still committed to UCLA.
Good…. And the only reason I mention is because he’s a QB. Obviously ucla will sign “high” 4 stars again. It’s the QBs who seem to be getting those big money nil offers
I'm also guessing some of the other QBs on the roster will hit the portal in the not-too-distant future. In '25 there are simply going to be too many QBs on the roster, including that recent transfer from WA.
