When THE job opens up at Alabama, no program is safe from losing their coach. I think the only other move KDB would have made the move would be to Michigan.
I didn't think KDB showed the type of inside personality that screamed NFL but he is a good coach and CEO and runs a very entertaing offense, something the NFL really likes. He just might have NFL aspirations. If he has success at Bama, their fans might be going through the same thing in a few years.
Pretty much got to agree again with mandb. DeBoer not much different from the Seattle tech workers. Many have aspirations to work at Microsoft or Amazon. Not all, but enough. Looking for prestige & $$$$ on each move.
$645,000 a month. $161, 000 a week is very hard to turn down. Zona should have gotten a contract extension done a month ago. Inexcusable to not have it done.
Wow, I was wondering about that. Sexton ( and Deboer ) played it well. They knew the extension would be there no matter how the season ended. They had no way of knowing Saban would retire but knew Deboer would be a commodity . Like the saying goes, if you want loyalty, get a dog.
So how are dawgs fans feeling about this hire ?
He's done well building it at UA.
