It’s a conundrum. Do you adjust in the second quarter thereby tipping your hand and allow the other team to adjust to your adjustments or wait til halftime. Carroll used to wait til halftime too. Of course if you are ahead it makes the decision easier. A case can be made for both ways. I lean toward waiting til halftime. But if we are being gashed and are behind necessity might say adjust immediately. That’s what they pay coaches for. To make hard decisions.
The “162” guys are gathering their thoughts, mostly in silence, waiting and praying for an opportunity to pounce.
I love the HT adjustments the staff makes…but we need to be a little better adj in that 1H. We can’t let Utah do what ASU did in the 1H.
But it’s a refreshing trend to see we are getting better, not worse as the game progresses.
Just a little gauge on our defensive output. I stated before the season(much to SanCs chagrin) that we only needed to be top 40 at about 24ppg.
Well right now we are 31st at 19.6 ppg. The next two weeks will determine a lot of things for us.
A little different than the hugs era , huh. sc
