Because SCs NIL was shit. Their mgmt was shit. Their staff was shit.

A lot of that has been addressed…

And the results are the number one class according to Rivals.

With SCs staff, a functioning NIL collective, competent management, top 3 recruiting classes is the LAST THING the B10 wanted to see.

How many footballs are there again? All These qbs are not going to stick with the program if they come to USC.

ITMT, does usc have more than 2 LBs at this point, one of which can't stay healthy? Riley's got more important things to focus on.

The plan was supposed to be to take a portal guy or 3 star guy and have lyons come in 2027

Spread out the top qb every other year. Lyons is monkeying around trying to play Julian Lewis and get the be$t deal. USC doesn’t have time for that mess so they’re getting a 26 dude and try to get Lyons or someone else for 27. That’s a ways off

By the time anyone in 27 comes maiava is gone one way or the other. I am guessing that if the guys they sign in 25, 26 and 27? One of those three. Likely either kk g street or Williams. Will be gone by 2027 as well. So the 27 guy will come in as the backup.

And remember, every FBS school attempts to sign 1, sometimes 2 QBs in every class. Of course each school is trying to sign the best they can get… These QBs are going to have to battle it out wherever they go, unless of course they sign at one of the lesser programs. Pretty much a guarantee big name QBs are gonna transfer if they’re not named the starter. Hopefully we’re signing kids who are confident they’ll be the guy. That’s the best any school can do these days.
