good, another scrimmage. good chance to further evaluate players. obvious need to simplify the defense. would have been nice to put a game like this later in season like Bama does. sc
It's a back loaded schedule. Tough games are all in the back half.My advice to Duck critics of USC's schedule is not to say anything then we won't know how intellectually challenged most Ducks are.
I watched a replay of the MD-Corona Centennial game. MD is just a freak show, especially on defense.
It was hard to tell what position the MD guys were playing because everyone is about the same size. There were a couple of fatties in there, interior linemen no doubt. But the defensive backs looked like linebackers, and the linebackers looked like defensive ends.
The days of the neighborhood public high school football team making an impact are over. They've been over for a while, but not to this extent. The principal at MD used to be the principal at Servite, and he used to complain about how MD had so many unfair advantages. I'm guessing nowadays he doesn't give a shit.
Well, nobody knows bad football teams better than a Bruin. And good luck with your magical match-up with Coastal Carolina. Rose Bowl crowd estimate? 20K, maybe 25K.
PEDtrojan, I think the number reported will be 40K, but actual attendance will be dismal. I give you guys shit, but you do the game days a lot better than UCLA. Games on the field/opponents aside, the whole thing is just a shitty attempt at a family frindly atmosphere that comes across as a small town theme park or carnival where the rides are just bobsleds that spin in a circle and crank AC/DC Thunderstruck at an ear splitting volume.

The SC schedule is an embarrassment. They play no one till mid October. They should be ashamed.
