The play calling on offense wasn’t a Chinese fire drill. We didn’t snap the ball at 1 second on the play clock like last year.
We could tackle
We didn’t celebrate after simple tackles 12 yards down the field
Penalties were contained.
Very few coverage blows. There were 3 maybe and one was a very good call by LSU.
We looked prepared
We looked calm like we expected everything that happened, would happen there was very little panic
Closest we looked like the 2002/3 team in a long time
We are small still on the back end. Also look a little slow on D. Need a better pass rush. Need to be more consistent running the ball. Must create turnovers somehow.
I thought we would lose and not cover. LSU isn’t that good and also had lots of self inflicted wounds.
Our QB is good smart and a cool customer. We can tackle!!!! WR corp is markedly better. Great Win. But it doesn’t mean anything until next week.
We’re a far cry to 2002/03 but I agree, that’s the most balanced we’ve looked in over a decade.
Lsus qb wrs and d are legit. Ol overrated, but this game will get their attention. A top 4 sec team imo w uga, bam and texas.
The bowl showed some signs. There were better signs tonight, and against a better team with better athletes. LSU has won 10 games a year the last 2 years. Moss runs the play called. For better or worse. Fortunately Riley had a headset on him and Riley gets to be the video game QB. Anyone dare to think anyone in the country wants to play EA Sports College football when Lincoln Riley is the QB of the other team? Yeah, I didn't think so. LSU qb went wild in their bowl. Performance rivaled Moss's. Been in their system 4 years. Talented. And they protected him, as they should. He's gonna hit throws. Even with all that USC held them to 20. An SEC team to 20. With no turnovers. No missed FG. Held them to 20. We said if USC could hold teams under 25 a game USC was going to win a lot. They just held an SEC 10 win bowl winner, a team with the top ranked O in the country last year. To 20. With a rebuilt D. Wow
USC DB's have some depth. Jaylin Smith was playing. I think I saw about everyone in the 2 deep playing. LSU is better than you think. They have the 7th most talent in the country and more coming in. LSU didn't turn the ball over. What self inflicted? Stupid penalties? They are an SEC team. They aren't smart. If you line those two teams up for a calculus or physics test, LSU ain't winning. Stupid things are what stupid people do. See Vista, Big Game. See also Fraud: any post
It doesn't mean anything until next week .... ? Nah, dawg, it don't mean nothin next week. You'll all be put back in your position in no time bro. GO DAWGS!!
Our play clock issues were because Caleb wasn't running the plays as called and kept changing them. The Holiday Bowl was proof of this, nearly every time the ball was snapped there was 10 seconds or more left on the clock.
LSU is a good team and they will win 9+ games this year.
